Both players had a vicious ground battle on their minds as :+:jolly:+: started out by building 2 barracks and [HoK]Hi~Se_Ri started with 2 Gateways. [HoK]Hi~Se_Ri, looking to size up his opponent with an early attack, moved in with one Zealot. He retreated quickly, however, at the sight of a group of Marines. Knowing the lone Zealot would need help, he headed back to his main base where the other Zealots where stationed. :+:jolly:+: followed him all the way back to his base with the Marines and a few SCVs in an attempt to bunker in the Protoss town. One bunker was successfully built, but the other was just as easily destroyed. :+:jolly:+:'s Marines opened up on the diligent Probes, forcing [HoK]Hi~Se_Ri to move the workers away from the resources they were mining. This tactic gave :+:jolly:+: a huge edge in resources. One Protoss Reaver and a Shuttle made a valiant attempt to hold off the Terran Marines, but the addition of a Siege Tank proved to be too much fire power. With the last of the Protoss fighters falling to the Terran onslaught, it was only a matter of time before the base, and the victory, went to :+:jolly:+:. Victor: :+:jolly:+:

Both players switched gears for the second game and had an expansion base and a Spire before any fighting began. Although both players had hatched some Zerglings, they did not attack with them -- perhaps waiting for the other to tip his hand. :+:jolly:+: opted to mutate some of his larva into Scourge and destroyed some Overlords, thus forcing [HoK]Hi~Se_Ri to spend precious resources in rebuilding his fleet. While [HoK]Hi~Se_Ri replenishing his Overlords, :+:jolly:+: mutated more Scourge and added Mutalisks and Zerglings to the mix. From this point out, the fighting centered around [HoK]Hi~Se_Ri's two bases as :+:jolly:+: pressed his advantage and advanced to the next round. Victor: :+:jolly:+:
