The American Championship of the Intel Extreme Masters Season IV concluded this weekend in Edmonton, Canada. CheckSix Gaming triumphed over SK Gaming USA in the finals, leaving Fnatic.WoW in third place. Besides the title "American Champion" and a nifty amount of prize money, four teams qualified for the Global Finals where they will clash with the respective Champions of Asia and Europe. 4 The South Korean Night Elf player Sung Sik “ReMinD” Kim triumphed in the 115th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup organized by Gamesports.net. Runner-up in second place was the Night Elf player Mykhaylo “HoT” Novopashyn from Ukraine. In other news, the PlayXP Season V league has finished. In an all-Orc final over five maps the South Korean player Du Seop “WhO” Chang emerged victorious over June “Lyn” Park, also from South Korea. The participants for the American Championship Finals of the Intel Extreme Masters Season IV have been announced by ESL. Don’t miss the American Championship live action this weekend on ESL TV. Meanwhile the group stage of the European Championship has finished and the winners of each group advance to the finals. The second and third placed teams will now play relegation matches to determine the four remaining slots for the finals. Finally, Hydra and Kalimist, two feared Arena players from the well-known GODMODE team, have started their own website, including an awesome Arena movie.

The Russian Terran player Pavel "BRAT_OK" Kuznetsov not only dominated the tournament at DreamHack Winter but also took home 25,000 SEK of prize money. He was followed by David "Enivid" Holm (Sweden, Protoss) in second place and the Zerg player Mattias "Naugrim" Ottoson from Sweden in third. Elsewhere, Team Liquid’s StarLeague 2 continues, with the American Terran player Greg "IDrA" Fields having reclaimed the top spot of the ladder.

In the weekly ZOTAC-Cup edition #114 by Gamesports, the South Korean Night Elf player Sung Sik "ReMinD" Kim triumphed over the Orc player June "Lyn" Park, also from South Korea. This was ReMinD's thirteenth win in this Cup series. Congratulations! Shadowleague's Trophy of Legends continues, and the group stage is almost over. The International Electronic Sports Tournament 2009 concluded and we have seen some truly epic games. In the end the Chinese human player Xiaofeng "Sky" Li emerged victorious and undefeated, followed by Hyeong Ju "Check" Lee (South Korea, night elf) and June "Lyn" Park (South Korea, orc). In the weekly ZOTAC-Cup #113 the South Korean orc player DongHwan "viOlet" Kim triumphed by defeating SeungHyun “Space” Park, the undead player from South Korea.

Team Liquid Starleague 2 has begun! The American Terran player Greg "IdrA" Fields is currently leading the scoreboard. In other news, the iCCup Clan League finished with the ESC team defeating Fellowship of StarCraft in the finals.

The World Cyber Games 2009 are over and we’ve seen some impressive games. In the end South Korea dominated the tournament and took home all three medals. Gold went to zerg player Jaedong; protoss player Stork claimed the silver; and finally the bronze went to protoss player Bisu. Congratulations to all the winners! In a nail-biting final, Chinese human player Xuwen "InFi" Wang won the gold medal at the World Cyber Games 2009 by defeating the Chinese orc player Weilang "Fly100%" Lu two games to one. The bronze medal went to June "Lyn" Park, a South Korean orc player. Meanwhile the Spanish Undead player Juan "VortiX" Morea Duran won the 112th edition of the weekly ZOTAC-Cup. The runner-up was the South Korean night elf player Sung Sik "ReminD" Kim.
