In late November, hundreds of the world's best computer game players converged on Singapore to compete in the World Cyber Games Grand Finals. The largest annual gaming tournament drew competitors from almost 70 countries and featured a total prize pool of $400,000. Among the headline events were Blizzard's Warcraft III: Frozen Throne and StarCraft: Brood War. Read the full recap here.
On November 19, 2005, the World Cyber Games Grand Finals came to an end. We would like to congratulate all of the competitors for their grand display of skill, talent, and dedication. The results for the StarCraft and Warcraft III matches are listed below.

The World Cyber Games started today with their first round of single-elimination matches. 89 players from around the world have joined each other to play in one of the largest tournaments in the world. Over the next four grueling days, these players will compete for their shot at the WCG title.

The Warcraft III and StarCraft players were divided into groups. Half of the groups played today, the other half will begin tomorrow. The top two players from each group will move on to the finals bracket, which begins on November 18.
