Super Unique Monsters

Super Unique Monsters are creatures that will always spawn in every game and in the same location. Similar to Unique Monsters, Super Uniques will have Magical Bonuses - however, unlike Unique Monsters, not all Super Uniques will have Minions. On Nightmare Difficulty, Super Uniques will pick up one additional Magical Bonus, and two on Hell Difficulty in addition to any other Magical Bonuses they may already have.

Note: Many of the Super Unique Monsters are found near quest-related locales and the information in the Act-specific sections can contain possible spoilers.

Due to their nature, some Super Unique Monsters will have complete immunity against certain spells and skills:
  • Ignores Target Defense only applies to any minions.
  • -% Target Defense from items is only 50% effective.
  • Only minions can be frozen: Super Unique can only be chilled.
  • Only 10% chance of applying stun length, but there are no further penalties: they will be stunned for the full length.
  • AI cannot be altered directly, although that of any minions can.
  • Life lost to Crushing Blow is halved (so 1/8 current base life when applied by a melee attack and 1/16 when applied by a ranged attack, modified by Damage Resist %).
  • Do not regenerate damage.
