X'Ds~Grrrr… chose to lead the Protoss and :+:Stinger:+: elected to command the Zerg. X'Ds~Grrrr… quickly built a Gateway and then another one right next to it. As the second Gateway is being constructed, he sends out a Probe and scouts the jungle for enemies. Meanwhile :+:Stinger:+: has evolved two Hatcheries and a Spawning Pool and now has two Overlords searching out his opponent's base. X'Ds~Grrrr… finds :+:Stinger:+:'s main base with his Probe and then, conscious of keeping all of his units active, quickly pulls it back to his own base. Already having warped in three Zealots, X'Ds~Grrrr… decides to move his early force against :+:Stinger:+:. :+:Stinger:+: has already placed a group of Zerglings in front of the ramp that leads to his main base and is in a defensive position, ready to hold off an attack. These hastily erected defenses are not enough, however, as X'Ds~Grrrr…'s troops kill of the opposing forces. A steady stream of incoming Zealots destroy :+:Stinger:+:'s expansion base, which is located right next to the now bloodied ramp. The onslaught continues as X'Ds~Grrrr… moves into :+:Stinger:+:'s main base. Now defenseless, :+:Stinger:+: spawns more Zerglings with his two remaining Hatcheries and manages to push XD's~Grrrr…'s Zealots out of his main base.

Realizing that X'Ds~Grrrr…'s troops are moving away from his Hatchery, :+:Stinger:+: tries to rebuild his destroyed expansion site. Having defeating XD's~Grrrr…'s invasion force, :+:Stinger:+: decides to take the offensive and move his troops towards XD's~Grrrr…'s base. Unfortunately his Zerglings are no match for the waiting Zealots and :+:Stinger:+: is forced to retreat back into a defensive position.

XD's~Grrrr… once more goes on the offensive with a group of Zealots, and after defeating :+:Stinger:+:'s defending Zerglings, destroys the expansion Hatchery as well. While XD's~Grrrr… is busy demolishing :+:Stinger:+:'s expansion, :+:Stinger:+: prepares for the inevitable Zealot assault by evolving a Sunken Colony within the perimeter of his main base. After the obliteration of :+:Stinger:+:'s expansion Hatchery, XD's~Grrrr… walks his force into the main base and unleashes the rage of the Protoss against the Sunken Colony. Although the Zealots are able to remove its presence from the encompassing Creep, they are deftly confronted by a gang of Hydralisks and are eliminated from the battle.

:+:Stinger:+: uses the ensuing lull in the fighting to hatch more troops and build another Hatchery where the last one was destroyed. He also evolves a Sunken Colony next to it and brings down his remaining Hydralisks to improve his chances of repelling another Protoss attack.. Meanwhile XD's~Grrrr… is moving a new force, consisting of High Templar, Zealots and a Dark Templar. As the Protoss move into range of the Zerg colony, :+:Stinger:+: tries to hold back the massive force, but the overwhelming power of the High Templar's Psionic Storms are able to penetrate :+:Stinger:+:'s defenses. :+:Stinger:+: desperately tries to replenish his troops, but finds that his Zerg are now sorely overmatched as XD's~Grrrr… wins the first game.

Victor: X'Ds~Grrrr...

Although both players choose random as their species selection, they amazingly both end up with the same race they played with in their prior match. They do not start in the same positions as the previous game, however. :+:Stinger:+: quickly builds a Hatchery, and then adds another right next to the ramp leading into his base. He then creates a Spawning Pool while expanding towards the mineral field near his ramp. Meanwhile XD's~Grrrr… has found :+:Stinger:+:'s location with a wayward Probe and is already sending a Zealot on the way to attack. Although the Zealot that XD's~Grrrr… dispatched has finally reached its destination, it is too late to help the Probe as it is killed by :+:Stinger:+:'s Zerglings and a newly hatched Sunken Colony.

XD's~Grrrr… sends a platoon of Zealots to attack :+:Stinger:+:'s expansion base, but his Protoss are held at bay by two Sunken Colonies and a small group of Zerglings. :+:Stinger:+: decides to retaliate with a horde of Hydralisks and moves against XD's~Grrrr…'s base. The Zerg are met by a group of Zealots that give their lives in defense of the outpost. This noble sacrifice gives the Protoss just enough time to warp in a wall of Photon Cannons, forming a line of death along the top of the cliff that overlooks the entryway into XD's~Grrrr…'s base. Although his assault proved to be fairly successful, :+:Stinger:+: is forced to retreat in the face of these newly constructed Photon Cannons and defending Probes!

More Hydralisks are hatched and :+:Stinger:+: again attempts to destroy XD's~Grrrr…'s base. Additional Zealots and Photon Cannons have been created, and X'D's~Grrrr… manages to buy some time. He is unable to hold off the opposing force for more than a minute or two as more and more Hydralisks swarm the site. :+:Stinger:+: manages to destroy the expansion base but as he is now in need of more troops to finish off the enemy, he decides to fall back.

While XD's~Grrrr… tries to rebuild his expansion base, he tasks two corsairs with wandering the map to eliminate any unprotected Overlords. To his amazement, however, :+:Stinger:+: brings a full wing of Mutalisks toward his main base, along with some Hydralisks that have quickly eliminated the normally elusive Corsairs. Fortunately XD's~Grrrr… has already created two Reavers to defend the ramp leading into his base and has a few Templars located within the site's perimeter. :+:Stinger:+:'s Mutalisks arrive at the Protoss base and start attacking the laboring Probes. XD's~Grrrr… rushes in a High Templar and uses Psionic Storms against the airborne creatures. :+:Stinger:+: moves the remaining units to scout X'Ds~Grrrr…'s previous expansion to see if it he has built a replacement. In this time, XD's~Grrrr… is able to drop a Probe onto an island located at the bottom right of the map to build a new expansion base.

:+:Stinger:+: amasses more Mutalisks and sends them, raining liquid plasma, over X'Ds~Grrr…'s expansion. :+:Stinger:+: also gathers Hydralisks and Overlords, preparing to drop the vicious monstrosities into X'Ds~Grrrr…'s main base while avoiding his Photon Cannon emplacements. X'Ds~Grrrr…, realizing that the constant assaults of the Zerg swarm has the Protoss war machine rapidly running out of minerals, knows his doom is sealed when :+:Stinger:+: unloads his Hydralisk-laden Overlords into his main base. A friendly "gg" is exchanged as :+:Stinger:+: claims victory in game two, and a deciding third is called for.

In the all-decisive third game, X'Ds~Grrrr… chooses Protoss and :+:Stinger:+: lets the computer decide his fate, which means he will be commanding an opposing faction of Protoss. X'Ds~Grrrr… starts climbing his tech tree by constructing an assimilator while :+:Stinger:+: builds a Gateway. After a few minutes of harvesting resources and constructing buildings, :+:Stinger:+: has a Robotics Facility, a Gateway, a Cybernetics Core and a Citadel of Adun. X'Ds~Grrrr… is following the same basic orders, but is in the process of constructing a Stargate. As :+:Stinger:+: prepares his forces for a Reaver drop, X'Ds~Grrrr…'s two Corsairs that are on a deep cover scouting mission run into :+:Stinger:+:'s loaded Shuttle. The Corsairs attack as the Shuttle hurriedly drops the two Dark Templars and two Zealots contained in its hold onto the ground just before the transport goes up in a ball of plasma energy.

While :+:Stinger:+: has his units hamstrung by being forced to the ground, X'Ds~Grrrr… builds an expansion base and finds :+:Stinger:+:'s main base. He greedily comes in, expecting an easy kill, but is turned away by waiting Dragoons. :+:Stinger:+: starts his regrouping efforts as he makes a move towards securing another resource node. While he is warping in his Nexus, :+:Stinger:+: directs another Shuttle to retrieve his abandoned forces from the previous aborted encounter. X'Ds~Grrrr… tries to obtain another expansion site with a small band of Probes, only to be discovered by :+:Stinger:+:'s Shuttles that are also scouting for potential expansion locations. With the small force held within his Shuttles, :+:Stinger:+: makes a surgical insertion and takes out the defenseless base, reloads, and moves on. By this time, X'Ds~Grrrr… has a few Corsairs for a counter attack but before he can react, :+:Stinger:+: finds another of X'Ds~Grrrr…'s bases and drops his units while his Shuttles are being attacked by defending Corsairs. With Photon Cannons placed in key defensive positions, X'Ds~Grrrr… is able to repel the attack with the aid of his Probes…

:+:Stinger:+: now has four Zealots on a search and destroy patrol and discovers that X'Ds~Grrrr… has built another expansion base in the middle of the map. Unfortunately for the Zealots, X'Ds~Grrrr… already has rallied most of his troops to that same base and :+:Stinger:+: is forced to beat a hasty retreat. :+:Stinger:+:, deciding to take another expansion site and deliver what he hopes is a crushing blow at the same time, gathers up a portion of his forces and mounts an attack against the base located in the middle of the map. This is just a ruse, however, to distract X'Ds~Grrrr… while :+:Stinger:+: covertly sends in a few Shuttles with assault units into X'Ds~Grrrr…'s main base. Preoccupied with holding off the attack against his middle base (along with the fact that most of his forces are focused there) X'Ds~Grrrr… is overwhelmed by :+:Stinger:+:'s drop on his main base. As :+:Stinger:+: begins slaughtering the Probes working in X'Ds~Grrrr…'s main base, a lone defending Carrier joins the fray. The Carrier does the best that it can against the unexpected onslaught as X'Ds~Grrrr… desperately loads two Reavers onto a Shuttle bound back to his main base. While :+:Stinger:+: is destroying some of his enemy's buildings, X'Ds~Grrrr…'s Carrier manages to whittle down the attacking force so that his Reavers will have a fighting chance. :+:Stinger:+: is left with only a Dark Templar that is slowly dismantling a structure in X'Ds~Grrrr…'s main base, but X'Ds~Grrrr… has no Observers with which to spot the cloaked assassin. In a calculated play, X'Ds~Grrrr…orders his Reaver to shoot at his own Pylon, and the splash damage kills the Dark Templar!

X'Ds~Grrrr… Shuttles his two Reavers up to :+:Stinger:+:'s northern base and almost succeeds in destroying it, but he is stopped short as :+:Stinger:+: brings up a force of nine Dragoons to eliminate the threat. Overmatched by this defensive force, X'Ds~Grrrr… decides to attack the eastern base instead. :+:Stinger:+: has massed a group of Carriers here, however, and handily kills all of X'Ds~Grrrr…'s attacking forces. :+:Stinger:+: retaliates by moving his ground troops in to try and attack X'Ds~Grrrr…'s middle base, but is held off by a mix of Scouts and Photon Cannons. :+:Stinger:+: hoping to put the game away, brings in all of his Carriers, but is narrowly defeated by X'Ds~Grrrr…'s Scouts.

Knowing that :+:Stinger:+: has lost most of his troops in that battle, X'Ds~Grrrr… decides to gamble his remaining forces in an attempt to destroy :+:Stinger:+:'s main expansion base and sweeps in for the kill. After causing mass destruction, X'Ds~Grrrr goes for :+:Stinger:+:'s northern base again, but :+:Stinger:+: gathers his remaining air force and Shuttles and is successful in saving the base.

Now :+:Stinger:+: takes his remaining forces and what reinforcements he has been able to muster into one of X'D's~Grrrr…'s expansion bases, but he is cut short by a looming cloud of Carriers, Scouts, and Corsairs. After annihilating :+:Stinger:+:'s assault force, X'Ds~Grrrr… continues his counter-attack by going towards one of :+:Stinger:+:'s bases, and destroys it along with the two Photon Cannons that were defending it. :+:Stinger:+: replenished his losses with yet more Carriers and an Arbiter.

X'Ds~Grrrr… gathers up his forces once more to try to take out the base located in the north-east portion of the map. :+:Stinger:+:'s defenses overwhelm X'Ds~Grrr…'s attack force and then decides to take his Carriers in to destroy XD's~Grrrr…'s eastern most expansion. This raid is successful as XD's~Grrrr… had few self-supporting defenses at this site and his forces are spread so thinly around the map. :+:Stinger:+: then moves his main assault force towards XD's~Grrrr…'s southeastern base, but by now XD's~Grrrr… has had time to regroup and counters the marauders with a full compliment of Scouts.

X'Ds~Grrrr… goes onto the offensive and moves his Dragoons and Scouts out of his middle expansion site and heads towards one of :+:Stinger:+:'s western bases, only to be held off by :+:Stinger:+:'s Zealots and Dragoons. Now knowing the defenses of the base, X'Ds~Grrrr… gathers up a full wing of Scouts and makes another run -- taking out the base. He then gathers his Protoss warriors for another attack, targeting :+:Stinger:+:'s well built eastern expansion. With a hand full of Scouts, :+:Stinger:+: forces X'Ds~Grrrr… to retreat back to his main base.

Stymied by his opposition, X'Ds~Grrrr… swings his Scouts up and mounts another attack against :+:Stinger:+:'s northeastern base. With the toll of the constant running battle running ever higher, :+:Stinger:+: moves his 2 remaining Scouts up to defend his base. They are no match, however, for X'Ds~Grrrr…'s massive force of Scouts and ground units. This mission accomplished, XD's~Grrrr… then moves all of his units up to destroy :+:Stinger:+:'s northern base only and easily sweeps through the undefended site. Meanwhile, :+:Stinger:+: tries desperately to create another expansion atop the ruins of his previous base, but it is too little, too late. During mutually respectful exchange of words about the game, X'Ds~Grrrr… finds this final expansion, destroys it. And moves into the next round.
