D22-soso vs. nautosoft
Battleground:

DIRE STRAITS

Match One

Players:
D22-soso - PROTOSS - Top Left
nautosoft - PROTOSS - Bottom Left

Game Length: 17:57

After careful deliberation, nautosoft selected to wage this war on the Dire Straits island chain. He took command of a Protoss legion, while D22-soso threw his fate to the winds and selected random, with the fates casting him as Protoss as well. They began the building process and it became clear at once that they both studied at the same War College and perhaps under the same instructor since they both built identical buildings and in the same order. They each tried to race up the tech tree by building Pylon, Assimilator, Gateway, Cybernetics Core, and then a robotics facility. D22-soso clearly had spent long hours mastering his lessons on psi-matrix warping efficiency, with his buildings warping in slightly more quickly than nautosoft's. At this point their differences in schooling revealed themselves with D22-soso warping in an Observatory to begin the scouting of the enemy, while nautosoft chose instead to build an ironclad defense with a Forge and then Photon Cannons.

Once D22-soso had his first observer airborne, he started scouting and quickly found nautosoft's main base of operations. Meanwhile both combatants sent Probes on robotic Shuttles to nearby islands looking for a place to expand the resources that fuel their respective war machines. nautosoft ran in to some opposition at his first expansion where the spider-like Dragoons that D22-soso shuttled on to the scene thwarted him. nautosoft was forced to give up on this expansion, wisely canceling the Nexus that was warping in to conserve his limited resources. He tried to expand to a different island, but D22-soso's Observers again found him and D22-soso's Dragoons once again and left nothing but wreckage in their wake..

D22-soso started his expansion at his closest island, heavily defending it with powerful Photon Cannons before the Nexus had even completely transported itself through warp-space to this location. While his buildings were materializing, he sent a lone Dragoon to the islands surrounding nautosoft's main base to destroy any Probes that would be unwise enough to try and vacation there.

nautosoft began building up his army with dragoons, zealots and templar. After merging two Templar into a powerful Archon crackling with unrestrained rage, nautosoft took it, a Dragoon, and several Zealots to retake his nearest island. This attack succeeded and the island with its abundant resources was his, but little did nautosoft know that a terrible surprise was coming for him. D22-soso had Shuttles full of Reavers in flight and they were coming to pay a less than social call to his main base. D22-soso dropped the monstrous robotic Reavers outside nautosoft's base and with no air units to stop them, the Reavers carved a path through the base with ease. This attack was too much for nautosoft and his defenses folded before the onslaught of explosive Scarabs. D22-soso had the first blood, but the conflict would in a brief moment continue anew.

D22-soso vs. nautosoft
Battleground:

THE LOST TEMPLE

Match Two

Players:
D22-soso - TERRAN - Left Center
nautosoft - PROTOSS - Bottom Left

Game Length: 28:20

Again, nautosoft decided to command the proud Protoss into battle, while D22-soso left his selection up to the fates and ended up with the flexible Terrans. Both combatants started with similar construction schemes, with nautosoft building two Gateways and D22-soso building a pair of Barracks to produce the indomitable Terran Marine. nautosoft scouted his enemy early with an adventurous Probe and found D22-soso's base with little difficulty, though the Marines D22-soso had just recruited dispatched the Probe with extreme prejudice. Likewise, D22-soso hunted high and low for nautosoft's base, but the gods of luck did not favor him and it took significantly longer for him to discover its whereabouts.

Both commanders began producing legions of infantry units to fight this war the old fashioned way. nautosoft went for throngs of noble Zealots, while D22-soso quickly had a large army of tough-as-nails Marines with a few elite Firebats and some Medics to heal the wounded. In preparation for a lightning assault, nautosoft warped in a Citadel of Adun to "Buy the Booties" to give great speed to his Zealot warriors. Both armies built up till they had large armies before attacking, but D22-soso decided to get in the first blow. While bringing his forces to nautosoft's base, they encountered a lone Zealot on scout patrol that was quickly dispatched. When the two armies met Firebats spewed roaring flame and Marine Gauss Rifles sparked great blue flashes off the Protoss shields but in the end they were no match for the flashing Psionic Blades of the Zealots and D22-soso's once mighty army was routed.

At this point, both commanders decided that they had need of more resources and so they both set out seeking expansions. D22-soso built Bunkers at his new expansion to protect his Marines from the lethal Zealots and brought up a pair of Siege Tanks to break the spine of any enemy ground assault. nautosoft decided to build Dark Templar and once one was ready for combat, he ordered it to D22-soso's expansion. Many a Marine guarding the expansion fell to the invisible blades of the Dark Templar before D22-soso managed a sensor sweep of the area allowing the bunkered guards to made quick work of this assassin. nautosoft then sent a small but powerful force of Zealots and Templar to D22-soso's expansion. They engaged the dug in Terrans at the expansion and sporadic fighting there engaged D22-soso's defenses there for some time to come.

D22-soso decided it was now his turn to share the love. He transported a few Marines and a Siege Tank to the high bluffs overlooking nautosoft's expansion. From this commanding position in took little time at all for highly accurate Siege Tank fire to reduce the expansion to rubble. After the success of this attack, D22-soso's daredevil Dropship pilot deployed a number of Marines inside nautosoft's base, but nautosoft's defending Dark Templar quickly separated the heroic Marines from their lives. D22-soso then decided to stop sparring with nautosoft and go for a knock out blow. He sent legions of Marines, Ghosts and Siege Tanks to nautosoft's base, destroying all that resisted and building Bunkers along the way to protect his advance. Eventually, D22-soso's army reached nautosoft's base and in a storm of flying shrapnel, the defenses collapsed leaving the base open to destruction. The war was over and D22-soso had emerged victorious.
