Both Shin_Ju_Young and Lee.Joo-wan select the awesome battlefield powers of the Protoss to represent them in the first game of this match. Lee.Joo-wan makes an early decision to focus on the harvesting of Vespene, building an Assimilator before creating a Gateway. Shin_Ju_Young takes the more traditional path of constructing a Gateway first. Both players then build a Cybernetics Core and a second Gateway.

Lee.Joo-wan begins making Zealots while Shin_Ju_Young waits longer to ramp up his military and warps Dragoons as his first unit type.

Lee.Joo-wan builds a Shuttle and tries for an early Zealot rush. He successfully drops off his Zealots into the middle of Shin_Ju_Young's mining operations. Shin_Ju_Young, however, is able to fend off the attack using his Probes and Dragoons. Lee.Joo-wan responds by sending a pair of Dragoons against his enemy, but Shin_Ju_Young has prepared Zealots and Dragoons of his own to drive off the attack.

Shin_Ju_Young counter attacks by sending Zealots and then Dragoons into Lee.Joo-wan's main base, but both of these attacks fail. During the second attack, Lee.Joo-wan sends his own Shuttle loaded with Zealots into Shin_Ju_Young's base. Both the Shuttle and its cargo were destroyed by Photon Cannon fire before the Shuttle could unload.

Both players take time to rebuild their forces and then attack each other simultaneously. Lee.Joo-wan sends forth the deadly Dark Templar's to Shin_Ju_Young's base and they manage to destroy his Assimilator before being detected and destroyed by the defensive matrix of Photon Cannons.

As the Dark Templar are being sent to their next life, Shin_Ju_Young sends a squad of Dragoons, a wave of highly-trained Zealots and the devastating might of a Reaver into the heart of Lee.Joo-wan's base. Lee.Joo-wan is unable to fight this attack off and, amidst the death cries of his mighty warriors, is forced to surrender the ghost.

Victor: Shin_Ju_Young

Shin_Ju_Young rolls the dice by choosing random and gets Zerg, while Lee.Joo-wan again chooses to lead the Protoss. Shin_Ju_Young begins by scouting the thick jungles of this planet with his Overlord as Lee.Joo-wan uses a Probe for the same purpose. The long search was fulfilled when Lee.Joo-wan came across Shin_Ju_Young's second expansion Hatchery as it was morphing. Hoping to thwart the plans of the Zerg, he attacked it with his Probe. Lee.Joo-Wan also dispatched Zealots to aid the ill-equipped Probe, but Shin_Ju_Young managed to turn back the attack with a herd of Zerglings.

Shin_Ju_Young then begins hatching Zerglings while Lee.Joo-Wan concentrates on the training of Zealots. Shin_Ju_Young also evolves a Sunken Colony to defend his expansion.

Both sides began massing forces outside of Shin_Ju_Young's expansion but neither attacks until both had built up a sizable army. Both forces then engage each other in fierce combat. Shin_Ju_Young was able to win the skirmish with his Hydralisks turning the tide of the battle with their ability to fire ranged attacks while the Zerglings bore the brunt of the murderous melee.

Shin_Ju_Young then builds up a group of 12 Hydralisks and sends them to attack Lee.Joo-wan's main base. Lee Joo-Wan is able to make quick work of them, however, by using multiple Psionic Storms on the incoming groups of Hydralisks.

While Lee.Joo-wan started an expansion base outside of his main holdings and worked on creating Dragoons and High Templar, Shin_Ju_Young focused his attention on building Hydralisks.

Shin_Ju_Young attacked with wave after wave of Hydralisks, but is pushed back by Lee.Joo-wan's Dragoons and High Templar. After the fourth assault, Shin_Ju_Young finally pushes Lee.Joo-wan's forces back into his base. Instead of following Lee.Joo-wan in, Shin_Ju_Young Chooses to destroy the nearby expansion, complicating Lee.Joo-wan's position as he is running dangerously low on Minerals.

The battles pitting Hydralisks against Dragoons and High Templar continue until Lee.Joo-wan finally runs out of Minerals. As he ponders his predicament, Shin_Ju_Young loads up his Overlords with Hydralisks and drops them directly into Lee.Joo-wan's base making it Game, Set and Match…
